Let me first introduce myself. My name is Al Hill and I'm a professional day trader.  There are thousands of message boards out there for trading, but often times it is someone trying to push their system or trading methodology. So, I felt the need to create a site where I would write free trading articles. Now, I am not trying to turn this into another full-time job in addition to my trading, but I plan on writing these trading articles as I feel motivated. These will not be quick 250 word posts. I am going to take a more meaningful approach and write trading articles that you as professional traders or soon to be traders can take away and learn from years down the road.  This will also prove to be a great means for tracking my development as a trader.

Overall Structure of the Site

  1. Home. This link will take you to the homepage of the site. The Homepage will contain the latest trading articles.
  2. Trading Articles. The articles are meant to provide you updates on trading, and the psychology of trading like no other resource on the web.  Unlike many other publications or investment newsletters, this site iis and will remain free. The write-ups will cover the following: (1) technical analysis articles, (2) stocktrading articles, and (3) day trading articles
  3. Trading Videos. Occasionally I will post real-time examples of my trades. While articles are helpful and can provide greater insight into trading at a high-level, I think it will prove beneficial to see real-life trading examples. The videos will cover the basics of our technical analysis techniques.  PLEASE NOTE: these videos are not "how to" videos for you to follow. Remember each trader must develop his or her own style of trading.
  4. About. How I got into trading, goals, etc.
  5. Contact. Since I am not in the business of managing sites, I have decided to remove the ability to receive comments on individual posts. I know the site is going to receive a decent number of hits and I don’t want to setup an environment where I am not responding to comments or questions. So, in the event you would like to contact me, send me an email: info@mysmp.com.
  6. Search.  Allows you to search for keywords on the site as well as the web.
  7. RSS Feeds.  There are a number of RSS feeds on the site for you to subscribe to.  We have listed the big three (1) My Yahoo, (2) My MSN, (3) Google.

Republishing Trading Articles

I do not have a problem with you republishing these articles or notifying others about the articles.  All I ask is that you put a link back to the site so that people can not only learn from that specific write-up, but that they may also learn from another article on the site.

Format of Trading Articles

The trading articles will range in length from roughly 1000 – 2500 words.  The reason for this is that the trading articles need to be long enough that you can actually get some real value out of them.  It is not my goal to bring you on this site 15 times a day checking for updates.  When you come to this site, you should feel comfortable in knowing you can brew a cup of coffee, grab a blanket and layout on your couch.
